Qi Zou, Professor at East China University of Science and Technology, Ph.D. Supervisor. In June 2004, he graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology. In July 2006, he earned a Master's degree in Applied Chemistry from the same college, under the guidance of Prof. Chunxu Lü. From July 2006 to August 2009, he served as the R&D Manager at Shanghai Kangpeng Technology Co., Ltd. In June 2012, he obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology, supervised by Prof. He Tian. From June 2013 to February 2021, he worked at the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Shanghai University of Electric Power. From November 2017 to November 2019, he conducted a two-year visiting research program at Columbia University in the United States, collaborating with Prof. Colin Nuckolls. In March 2021, he joined the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology, as a member of Prof. He Tian's research team.

He has been dedicated to the study of structural evolution of organic conjugated molecules under photo/electrical stimuli. By systematically designing conjugated molecular models with controllable structures and integrating scanning tunneling microscopy break-junction techniques with classical photoelectric spectroscopy characterization methods, he has achieved precise acquisition of intrinsic molecular information and stimulus-responsive properties at both single-molecule and macroscopic levels. The multi-dimensional exploration of the structure-property relationship between molecular structures and material performance has established a distinctive research framework spanning from molecular units to material devices, which has been applied in optoelectronic fields such as information storage. To date, he has published 50 SCI-indexed papers with over 2,700 citations, including 38 papers as the first or corresponding author in high-impact international journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc. (2 papers), Nat. Commun. (2 papers), Sci. Adv.Chem. Sci.Nano Lett.eScience, and Small. He has applied for 12 Chinese invention patents, with 7 already authorized. He has led numerous research projects, including 3 fundings from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 funding from the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program, and the Shanghai Young Science and Technology Talent Sailing Program.
